Chapter Nine

Ellie

“Chugga chugga, chugga chugga choo choo! Here comes the train. Open the tunnel.”

Ellie absentmindedly opened her mouth to obey her Daddy, but her mind wasn’t on finishing her breakfast like it was supposed to be. Instead, her attention was on her friends and her sister, at the other end of the table, not in high chairs, and huddled together tightly, speaking in hushed whispers she couldn’t quite make out.

Miraculously, their Daddies were all over at the buffet counter, leaving them alone to shenanigate. And that was most certainly what they were doing. Ellie knew a good shenanigan-plotting session when she saw one. What were they planning? How much trouble would it get them in? Would it be worth it? She was dying to know, but she was strapped into her high chair with no way to get out and join them.

She felt so left out, but that wasn’t her friend’s fault—it was hers. She was the one who’d chosen to live as a Baby, effectively segregating herself from her friends. She loved her life with Sam, but she’d felt the loneliness and segregation even more intensely since the other morning when they’d all been spanked but her. She still hadn’t figured out how to talk to Sam about it, or even if she ever would.

“Choo, choo! Here comes the train!” On autopilot, Ellie swallowed the last bite and popped her mouth open to accept another, her eyes still on her friends.

She had a serious case of FOMO. With her living as Sam’s Baby, and half her friends living on another floor with their respective Daddies, it had been a long time since they’d been able to get together to plot mischief that involved all of them together. The other morning didn’t count.

As she watched, her twin turned to her and pointed. Her heart jumped. They didn’t want to leave her out; they were trying to find a way to include her. She met Tessa’s eyes and nodded. Twin telepathy for the win. All she had to do was to get Sam to walk away before the other Daddies came back.

Feeling inspired and energized, she hatched a plan. The next time Sam came at her with a forkful of food, she leaned in too aggressively and swept her arms at the same time, sending both the fork and her bottle filled with strawberry milk flying. By some divine intervention, the bottle broke open, spilling pink milk all over the floor.

When Sam looked down at the floor to process what had just happened, Ellie promptly burst into tears. “Waaah! My milk!” she cried. Her cheeks flamed as she realized all eyes were on her. She hated drawing this kind of attention to herself, but this time it was unavoidable. She was counting on the distraction.

“Daddy! I need new milk!”

She shrieked but the ever unflappable Sam remained unfazed. “And a new fork as well,” he muttered. “And probably a mop.”
